The black and yellow of BVB travels to England to take on the Sky Blue of Manchester CIty this week. After three straight victories, that included clean sheets, Dortmund came crashing back to earth in the Bundesliga this past weekend, being thrashed 3-0 by rivals RB Leipzig.
History is not smiling on Borussia Dortmund. They haven’t won on English shores in almost a decade. Their last victory in the Champions League on English soil was against Arsenal all the way back in 2013. Since then they have played four times in England on YCL duty and lost every time.
That includes twice against Spurs, once more against Arsenal and one loss to their opponents this week, Manchester City.
City and Dortmund have clashed four times in the continent’s biggest club competition. Twice in the 2012/13 group stage where they managed a draw to accompany a loss against the Citizens. And again in the 2020/21 knockout phase where they succumbed to City 2-1 both at home and away.

Match Prediction
I want to clarify that I don’t think this Dortmund side is bad. Conversely, I think this CIty side – with the addition of Erling Haaland – could now be considered one of the best to ever take the pitch in a game of soccer.
So with that in mind, I am going for a massive win to the home side.
Manchester City 5-0
