After losing a bet, the Arsenal fan behind that curious anti-Arsene Wenger banner now has a permanent token on his leg to remember Arsenal’s manager.
The fan who goes by “DT” made a wager before England’s recent friendly against Germany that if Jamie Vardy scored in that match, he would get a Arsene Wenger tattoo. Naturally, Vardy netted a gem.
The resulting tattoo text “thanks for the memories” is a reference to the banner. Here’s the ink — a caricature of the Frenchman:
