Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer, with Manchester City and Bayern Munich the leading potential destinations. Sanchez will see his Arsenal deal expire next summer, and the topic of his future came up while on international duty with Chile at the Confederations Cup.
During the press conference previewing the Chileans clash with Germany on Sunday, a reporter asked Alexis Sanchez where he’ll be playing his club football next season, prompting him to laugh and reply: “Yes it’s clear, but I can’t tell you.”
He was then asked whether or not not he’ll be teaming up with Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo at Man City this upcoming season.
“Good question,” he answered, before then reverting to the usual athlete cliches, and press conference pablum. “Right now I’m focused on the Confederations Cup. When this is finished I will see if I stay or if I go. I don’t know.”
Sanchez was also asked about his chances of remaining at Arsenal, to which he replied: “I don’t know.”
