As disastrous as this season has become, Chelsea FC still have a decent chance at winning a trophy this campaign. Entering Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Fulham FC, the Blues are reeling from a defeat at the hands of Middlesbrough, in the first leg of their EFL Cup semifinal tie. There is still time to turn it around, but Chelsea seem to be blowing their opportunity to reach a cup final, when all they have to do is beat a lower division team.
It is pretty embarrassing, especially when you realize how much more Chelsea have spent on their roster than the Bro has.

As for the league, well, Chelsea are still struggling to get far above just staying on the first page of the standings. You have to wonder when patience for Mauricio Pochettino will run out.
Typically, you don’t say that about a first year manager, but this is Stamford Bridge, where manager job security isn’t really a concept that actually exists.
