Norwegian Snowboarder Silje Norendal is one of the most popular Olympic athletes competing at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. And it’s pretty easy to see why.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing any more of Silje Norendal at these games.
She disputed the Slopestyle Finals by finishing in fourth place in the Semifinals with a score of 78.75. In the Ladies Slopestyle Finals she scored 49.50 ending in the eleventh position.
Silje Norendal is definitely one of the best in the snowboarding game right now, winning the Winter X Games women’s slopestyle a couple weeks ago in Aspen as in Tignes the year before.
USA’s Jamie Anderson took home gold in the Olympic event on Sunday, but Norendal is the one that the fratblogosphere (yes, that’s a word I just made up, but you know what I’m talking about) is focused in on right now.
She went to a snowboarding high school — because apparently, such things exist.
Silje Norendal competes in halfpipe, boardercross, and slopestyle, with her local club being Kongsberg IF.
