American snowboarder Chloe Kim won over fans worldwide with her highly active Twitter account, and in the process became Team USA’s biggest new breakout star this Winter Olympics. With Team USA about to experience a massive exodus in Winter Olympiad star power, it’s the perfect time for Chloe Kim to establish herself.
You still have Mikaela Shiffrin, the new face of American Winter Olympians, but this will likely be the end of the line for The Flying Tomato Shaun White and Lindsey Vonn. In truth, Vonn has been over-publicized and well played out for a long time anyway.
So it’s a changing of the guard now, from a Winter Olympics marketing and branding perspective with Kim leading the way.
During the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, she tweeted during halfpipe runs about her snacks and ice cream of choice and was mentioned 433.3K times.
This Tweet from Chloe Kim received nearly 210K engagements:
People acting like my bestie after the Olympics. Like remember when you took a sip of my apple juice in kindergarten, still salty bout that
