“Super Bowl Zone” will be co-hosted by NBC Sports commentators Carolyn Manno and Kathryn Tappen.
Following are segments that will be featured in Saturday’s episode of “Super Bowl Zone”:
- NBC Sports’ popular figure skating analysts Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski will visit Rawhide Western Town, an 1880s Wild West theme park in Phoenix, for an authentic Old West experience;
- Carolyn Manno will bring viewers inside the cockpit of an F-16 for a first-hand look at the traditional Super Bowl pre-game flyover;
- Kathryn Tappen visits SuperFoos2015, a unique life-sized foosball rink in downtown Phoenix that allows people to participate as foosball players.
Carolyn Manno joined the NBCUniversal family in August of 2009, getting the call up to the big leagues from regional Comcast SportsNet New England.
While in Boston, Carolyn covered Super Bowl, Stanley Cup and NBA Finals appearances by the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and Celtics, in addition to the most epic collapse in Red Sox history in September 2011.
Carolyn Manno covered the 2012 and 2014 Olympics, and also contributes to Football Night in America.
Additionally, she hosts on MLS broadcasts, and SportsDesk updates, and will serve as a correspondent for action sports coverage, including the Dew Tour. Carolyn Manno also has a role in the peacock’s Sports Radio Network.
