As you no doubt heard, Mike McQueary, who might have possible whistle-blower status in the Penn St. scandal, is in a secure location. This is because he’s received death threats for so-called “ratting out” Joe Paterno; which reminds us how backwards and unthinking so many people are. Anyways, it surfaced yesterday that McQueary claims he did go to the police, contradicting earlier reports from the grand jusry testimony.
CBS had an exclusive with him, and it bombed massively.
From Cosby Sweaters:
It will take you longer to read these words than it would have taken you to watch the “exclusive interview” which CBS promoted all day with Mike McQueary. CBS really should apologize for marketing this interview as one which could rival last night’s with Bob Costas and Jerry Sandusky on NBC. The entire interview lasted a whopping 24 seconds which consisted of nothing of substance. The following tweet by Armen Keteyian, who interviewed McQueary is just one example of the ridiculousness.
-And thanks for linking that Costas interview, that was the next site I was going to recommend you click.
-And here’s an inside source from the PSU program who claims Paterno knew everything that was going on. And that Sandusky used to openly display his inappropriate conduct towards boys out in public.
Matt Kapnis was a graduate assistant on the Nittany Lions football staff in 1987 and 1988. He says Jerry Sandusky exhibited questionable behavior towards the players back then.
“He was always grabbing the players,” Paknis says. “He would get in their space, lean up right against them. I’d also been taught you don’t touch anyone unless you are teaching a technique. Boundaries were clearly an issue. It made me feel awkward, the way he would grab or pinch them.”
Kapnis believes former head coach Joe Paterno knew of Sandusky’s behavior prior to the defensive coordinator’s retirement in 1999.
“Joe knows everything,” he says.
-This isn’t a Penn State link, but it certainly relates to the topic at hand. Another adult who works for a school doing monstrous acts of a sexual nature in regards to children; for years allegedly. (CBS Chicago)
