9 am eastern means an 8 am kick for the large contingent of ND fans within Chicago’s “South Side Irish.” That’s pretty early for the peeps in Beverly, Mt. Greenwood, Oak Lawn and other Irish-American strongholds. Expect a lot of “kegs n eggs” in those neighborhoods on that day.
And for Notre Dame fans on the left coast, it’s a 6 a.m. kick off. Ouch! That’s an early wake up call.
