The college football national title game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish figures to do HUGE tv numbers. Like off the charts figures. Given the interest in South Bend for tickets, getting to the game will command a lot of money, juice, or both.
The Notre Dame Ticket Office has answered more than 4,000 emails since late Saturday night November 24th to Tuesday November 27th — and the Ticket Office answered more than 2,500 phone calls on Monday alone.
This is pretty much the first time ND football has been nationally relevant in a generation. They last competed for the title in 1993, and last won it all in 1988. So all this interest has been building for decades.
