The Michigan Wolverines will wear new white road jerseys in the 2012 Sugar Bowl against the Virginia Tech Hokies. Check out the pics above and after the jump- this is what you’ll see Jan. 3, 2012, at the Superdome in New Orleans. The Sugar Bowl logo is placed above the heart, a blue Block M on the right upper chest. There’s also two blue stripes on both sleeves and a blue neck line.
“We met with our seniors and showed them some concepts that were proposed by adidas and the mock-up is what they chose,” Brady Hoke said in a statement. “This is a something the players enjoy and we thought it would be a nice way to commemorate our appearance in the Sugar Bowl.”
Michigan players decided to wear the gray face mask on the famed winged helmet (which Fritz Crisler took with him to Michigan from Princeton), a look from the late ’60s and in the “Under the Lights” game with Notre Dame this year.
