Despite his current enviable cushy ESPN job, former Florida Gators Head Coach Urban Meyer will return to coaching college football. And probably next year, with either the Penn State Nittany Lions, or more likely the Ohio State Buckeyes.
It’s the worst kept secret in the game- the Buckeyes football brass wants Meyer. They want/him need him more than 473 pound ex-football coach Mark Mangino needs/wants high calorie, artery-clogging types of food.
Luke Fickell will be the next fall guy in Columbus. I thought he was possibly being set up for that this summer, but now with what a train wreck the 2011 offense is, and how the Bucknuts are becoming the likely 6-6 or 5-7 Sucknuts, it’s certain that he’s the next sacrificial lamb. Jim Tressel and Terrelle Pryor weren’t enough. The culture of corruption runs so deep at the shoe that another high profile name will need to be axed in order to sever all ties with the old regime.
The stain of scandal of stench of sanctions is running so deep, that they’ll need a scorched earth policy before starting again clean. Fickell is basically the college equivalent of the current starting QB for whatever NFL team has the #1 pick and grabs Andrew Luck next year.
I’m sorry for all you Bucknuts reading this out there, if this is just too brutally honest for you. But I already made the Buckeye Nation blacklist, so I don’t care about your little feelings. You can kiss my bucknuts.
Then again, 1.) I’m not actually telling you anything most of you don’t already know. 2.) I think 99% of you are on board with these ideas anyway.
Look up Urban Meyer on Twitter, and this is some of the most recent results:
