(BREAKING UPDATE: Arkansas fires Petrino)
Update: Dorrell’s fiance Josh Morgan no longer with the school
You know the story by now, (although for their sake, it’s good for them it broke right before a long holiday weekend started) Arkansas Razorbacks’ head coach Bobby Petrino had a female passenger with him when he crashed his motorcycle. This was first covered up, but eventually state police revealed it, and the name in the report is Jessica Dorrell. She became an internet sensation over the weekend.
The beautiful 25-year-old ex-Razorbacks volleyball player currently works in the Athletic Department at Arkansas. She is engaged to some guy named Josh who is the strength and conditioning coach for the Arkansas swimming and diving team. When an engaged woman has an “inappropriate relationship” to use Petrino’s words with a married father of four, who happens to be one of the most powerful men in the state, well…Here is where typical internet stalking turns to outright vicious vitriol.
Petrino was placed on administrative leave. Dorell’s wedding guestbook website was infiltrated and defaced. Nasty, NSFW stuff was written. Under aliases of course, none of these internet cowards every actually leaves their true identity. The attacks are mean-spirited, but still funny and worth reading.
Although the website is now shut down, you can see all the screen grabs here at Victory Formation
It then spilled over to their Bed, Bath and Beyond wedding registry, which had to be shut down too.
Maybe their wedding plans will be the next thing to be “placed on leave” due to this scandal.
