Purdue college basketball coach Matt Painter will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at U.S. Cellular Field on Wednesday night before the Chicago White Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays.
The game is set for 7:10 p.m. CDT.
This won’t be as exciting as the Snoop Doggy Dogg first pitch, but maybe Painter will “Tebow” after it, like Snoop did. Ok, probably not.
Painter is entering his eighth season at the helm of the Boilermaker basketball program, and ranks fourth on the program’s career wins list with 160. He is one of just five men in conference history to be named Big Ten Coach of the Year at least three times, alongside legendary former Purdue head coach Gene Keady, Bob Knight, Thad Matta and Tom Izzo.
