The effects of Hurricane Sandy, and the Frankenstorm are already being felt long before it made landfall on the Jersey Shore. The effects are being felt well inland- including central rural, landlocked Pennsylvania.

Penn State Basketball Media Day scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today has been cancelled due to the University’s closing of the University Park Campus as of 1:10 today. It will be rescheduled in the following days. Already this storm that will rewrite weather history books is making an impact on sports, including the upcoming college basketball season. The Perfect Storm  is huge.
