Hoosiers Tom Crean to be TV Guest Analyst for NCAA Tournament

Indiana Hoosiers head coach Tom Crean will join CBS Sports’ and Turner Sports’ coverage of the 2011 NCAA Tournament serving as a guest analyst in the Atlanta studio. Crean will join the studio team of host Matt Winer and analysts Seth Davis and Steve Smith, working the FIRST FOUR games on truTV on Wednesday, March 16 as well as the Second Round games on Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18, which will air across TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV.

So there you go- Hoosiers fan will actually have something to watch, and a rooting interest this week during March Madness. Well, something aside from rooting against Illinois and Purdue.

We know Crean is opinionated- like the time he tweeted his disgust with the ridiculously and needlessly early start times when his Hoosiers visited Illinois for their senior day earlier this month. And I’ve seen him chew out reporters who’ve written things he doesn’t approve of. So this should be very colorful to say the least.

CBS Sports’ and Turner Sports’ exclusive coverage of the 2011 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship tips off with first-round coverage of the NCAA FIRST FOUR tomorrow, Tuesday, March 15, and continues Wednesday, March 16 (6:30 PM, ET; both days) on truTV. The match-ups featured on Tuesday include UNC-Asheville vs. University of Arkansas-Little Rock followed by the University of Alabama at Birmingham vs. Clemson. The games on Wednesday include the University of Texas at San Antonio vs. Alabama State followed by the University of Southern California vs. Virginia Commonwealth University.
