In June, Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho hit back at critics of Chelsea’s style of play and branded rival coaches ‘stupid’ for not copying his counter-attacking tactics. In July, the self-proclaimed Special One ripped Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger and Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini to pieces during a pre-season press conference in the United States.
This occurred about a week after he made the pot calling the kettle black comments about teams trying to buy the title through exorbitant transfer spending. Then of course there was the Wenger fiasco last weekend in the FA Cup.
And last week when he implied that Eden Hazard is better than Cristiano Ronaldo. Then you had his Petr Cech comments today. And it’s this outspoken and abrasive personality of Mourinho’s that greatly shapes public opinion of the Blues.
Among Barclay’s Premier League sides, Chelsea is the second most hated, after Manchester United. At least according to one pool of fan opinion data.
The Daily Mirror did a survey and they published their findings today. Behold the “Table of most hated clubs.”
Club | Average of percentages
