As we always say, there’s no zealous fandom quite like English Premier League zealous fandom. It’s beyond religious devotion; sometimes there are now parallels. Such is the case with this Arsenal supporter who named his daughter after the club, and did so by deliberately misleading and conniving his wife.
Sports book Coral initially Tweeted this out, and it’s going insanely viral right now.

Yes, Arsenal spelled backwards is Lanesra, and the man led his wife to believe that he wanted the name because it is was unique and special. Therefore, the name held some kind of romantic significance.
Clare Smith, the unsuspecting mother,ย ungrudgingly gave the nod. Who knows how she’s taking this now, after realizing that this landmark event in the couple’s life (not to mention the defining moment in the daughter’s life) was actually just all about partisanship for Arsenal FC.
