On some of those early Michael Jordan era Chicago Bulls teams, forward Orlando Woolridge was the second best player. Or at least the #2 scorer. Obviously, those Bulls teams weren’t very good. Post-NBA life has been less-than-kind to Woolridge who was released on bond after his arrest for stealing aluminum tubing at a drill site in Louisiana.
Stealing aluminum tubes? Perhaps he has plans to find some yellow cake uranium, and build a weapon of mass destruction? Ok back to reality:
From Chicago Breaking Sports:
Chief Deputy Patrick Cobbs, of the parish sheriff’s office, said Wednesday that deputies arrested the 52-year-old Woolridge on Feb. 24 on a charge of theft of over $1,500. He was released after posting $2,000 bond.
Cobbs says Woolridge lives in the Mansfield area.
The Bulls drafted the 6-foot-9 Woolridge out of Notre Dame with the sixth pick in the 1981 draft.
Woolridge retired from the league in 1994, and later coached in the WNBA and ABA.
