E. Gordon Gee, Ohio State University president, Gene Smith, vice president and director of athletics, and Jim Tressel, head football coach, will address the media at the Jack Nicklaus Museum tonight at 7 PM ET.

What is this about? Obviously, it’s about whether Tressel had any advance knowledge of the infractions (and possibly covered them up) before the NCAA suspended Terrelle Pryor, Boom Herron, and Devier Posey for five games in the 2011 season.
Things don’t look good in Columbus, and it all stems from a Yahoo report questioning what Tressel knew and when did he know it.ji
According to CBS Sports:
Smith has returned to campus and a news conference has been called for Tuesday night, signs that coach Jim Tressel’s job might be in jeopardy after a report that he did not tell his superiors that he was aware of potential NCAA violations involving star quarterback Terrelle Pryor and others.
Here’s Gee’s statement:
“We have reported a violation, a perceived violation, that we were having discussions with them (NCAA) about the best way to handle it. We reported that immediately when we found it.”
Rumors are flying all over the internet today that Tressel could face serious charges. Stay tuned.
