As November began Tottenham Hotspur were sitting top of the table, off to their best start in the Premier League era. Now, as a date with Newcastle United approaches on Sunday, they’re outside the top four.

Spurs seem to be fading fast from the league title race, and if they don’t course correct soon, they’ll find themselves behind the eight ball when it comes to qualifying for Europe too.
