Buoyed by the opening of their new stadium, these are really exciting times for Tottenham Hotspur. In an 11 day span this month, they will face reigning league champs and juggernaut of juggernauts Manchester City. The first meeting comes tomorrow night, in the home leg or their two legged UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie.
These two big six rivals have played a very balanced series overall, but this will be the first time they meet each other in a European competition. City meanwhile have won the last three Premier League meetings by an aggregate score of 8-2, so it’s clear that the Pep Guardiola’s side have Spurs number right now.
Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI Prediction vs Manchester City (UCL Quarterfinal)
Attack: Danny Rose, Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min
Midfield: Dele Alli, Moussa Sissoko, Christian Eriksen
Defense: Ben Davies, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Kieran Trippier
Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris
As an aside, if you missed what Tottenham star Danny Rose had to say about the prevalence of racism and all the ugliness it brings in the beautiful game these days, then you must click here and read his quotes.
It’s clear that not enough has been done to try and stamp this out.
