According to multiple reports worldwide, Paul Pogba suffered an injury scare during training on Friday, and he now faces a late fitness for Saturday’s home clash against Liverpool. According to The Sun, Pogba has a “gashed leg,” and is considered a doubt for the rivalry match.
He might end up replaced in the starting lineup by youngster Scott McTominay, who has already taken his slot a couple times this season. Pogba has found himself in and out of manager Jose Mourinho’s good graces this campaign, and it’s obvious there’s some tension between the two.
If Pogba is out of action Saturday, then the Marouane Fellaini news, which was revealed Friday, is even bigger now. At his news conference on Friday Mourinho revealed that Fellaini is now back and ready to go. The good news regarding Pogba’s injury is that it’s obviously not long term serious.
