In the words of the great American poet Flo Rida, “welcome to my house Baby take control now, we can’t even slow down.” The song certainly applies to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and Old Trafford. Indeed the “Theatre of Dreams” is “my house” according to a revealing Pogba interview in Sky Sports.
“I have United in my heart,” Paul Pogba said. “It’s my house. When I left I always knew that I would come back. For me, it’s just normal. It’s like I went on holiday and just came back. Seriously. Nothing really changed. I’m the same person.”
Pogba returned to United this summer for a world record breaking £89.3 million. It was the first time that United have ever broken the world transfer fee record, after having broken the British record 12 times. #Pogback became a top trending term when he signed and the transfer narrative was one of the biggest stories of the summer.
