Tyus Jones is also coming to Durham. Duke Blue Devils fans rejoice. ACC, watch out. The explosive, blue chip point guard from Apple Valley high school in Minnesota is rated the #4 or #5 prospect in the nation, depending on the recruiting service you read. Tyus Jones continued to wow people even further at the McDonald’s All-American game, winning the skills competition last night.
BREAKING: Jabari Parker very likely returning for his sophomore season
Jones committed to Duke along with Jahlil Okafor of Whitney Young Magnet School in Chicago, the #1 recruit in the nation. Together they bring the top rated freshmen class to Coach K’s program. The pair, along with Grayson Allen and Justise Winslow will compete in the McDonald’s All-American game tomorrow night.
I had an exclusive with Tyus Jones, where I asked him about a whole host of topics. I even asked him why people hate Duke so much.
Here’s the audio of the Tyus Jones (who’s name was inspired by former UCLA point guard and national champion Tyus Edney, we talk about that topic too)
