Last fall, I had an exclusive with Nick Roach, a Northwestern alum who started at Linebacker for much of the Bears 2009 season. And now, as you get ready to fill out your brackets for March Madness, I’d like to pass on a very important message from him.
On January 4th 2010, 7 year old Slade Baker died in a tragic sledding accident in his hometown of Burlington, Wisconsin, which is not too far from my hometown of Milwaukee. He left his parents, a brother and sister, and a devastated community.
A month or so ago, I had the opportunity to attend a fundraiser to raise money for a scholarship fund in his memory.
While that raised some good money, I wanted to do more for someone who I know was a die hard Bears fan.
If you are willing, I’m looking for Fans with $10 to spare to give to the Slade Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund. This donation will give you access into my 2010 NCAA tournament Pick ’em game on CBSsports.com, which I am holding.
If you win the whole thing, I’m giving away a pair of tickets to one home Bears football game this season. If you finish above me, you’ll could get a signed football or a signed Chicago Bears shirt from me.

Please, please share this with any and all of your friends.
Thanks.
