One of the main reasons the Big Ten will be one of the most competitive conferences in the country this season is because of all the returning talent. All five members of last year’s All-Big Ten first team were sophomores as were four players chosen to the second and third teams. Realistically, six Big Ten ballers have a legitimate chance of winning the player of the year honor.
The final part of The Sports Bank’s six week long preview of the six major conferences in college basketball predicts the winners of the Big Ten post-season awards. Be sure to check out all the other conference previews linked at the bottom of the page and come back next week when I debut my predictions for the NCAA Tournament field, pick my All-Americans, Final Four, and National Champion.
